He was speaking in a post-match interview after his side’s clash against Morupule Wanderers. Angels came back from a 2-0 goal deficit to win the match 3-2 at the Old Francistown Stadium on Saturday. Mtokufa was not registered for the first half of the season because the club had exhausted its quota.
The striker has played three games since he was re-registered in January and has provided two assists and scored two winning goals. He scored the winner against Wanderers. He also played a remarkable role in the match. “We have been with him for so many years, since he was a small boy. Once he starts scoring, it is difficult to stop him (from scoring). It is in his nature. He will have a bad game but when he gets a chance, he capitalises on it. He came at the right time and I am very optimistic that he will be very key for us in the next games,” Mpatane.
Mpatane was visibly unhappy with the officials throughout the match and became an animated figure on the touchline. He even confronted the officials at half time and had a few harsh words towards them. He was lucky not to get sent off. “They (officials) had a bad day today. I never complain directly to match officials, but I think today they had a very bad day in office.
A few key decisions taken against us were unjustified,” he said. Morupule were entirely dominant in the first half and were very effective on the air. They took the lead on the 13th minute through Baboloki Makhura after he neatly connected with Tiroyaone Maome's corner at the near post. Dominic Chungwa increased the visitors lead in the 43rd minute. He connected with right back Thato Mosweunyane’s cross at the back post after he was left unchecked. Angels emerged a rejuvenated side in the second half. Rookie forward, Goitseone Motshwari, opened the scoring for Angels in the 50th minute with a low drive free-kick.
Motshwari completed his brace 10 minutes later by dribbling an advancing Morupule goalkeeper, Kagiso Moganetsi, before slotting the ball into an empty net. He had initially capitalised on a slip by a Morupule defender. Mtokufa completed Angels comeback in the 69th minute. He also beat an advancing Moganetsi after navigating his way past defenders.
