Metrological services warns the public of heat wave

The Metrological Services stated that the heat wave is expected to take a period of five days of high temperatures. “The service advises members of the public that a heat wave is expected over most parts of the country from February 21st to February 26 2024,” read the statement from Metrological Services.
Very hot to extremely temperatures are slated to range from 36 to 42 degrees Celsius over most parts of the country.
Temperatures are expected from February 27 due to generally cloudy weather conditions and thundershowers that are expected over most parts of the country as well.
However, the Metrological Services highlighted that it is closely monitoring the situation and implored the public to be cautious of the heat. “The department therefore advises members of the public to take precautionary measures to protect themselves from these adverse conditions. The department will keep monitoring this significant increase in temperatures and will update the public accordingly,” read the statement.
