Beauty queen Perera departs for Indonesia

The international competition will see young women from around the world come together to showcase their beauty, talent, and intelligence. Miss Teenager Universe Botswana's director, Peggy Jeremiah, said Perera has been a shining example of grace and poise since she was crowned Miss Teenager Universe Botswana.
Her dedication to her community and her passion for empowering young women have made her a role model for many. As she represents Botswana on the international stage, they have no doubt that she will continue to inspire and uplift those around her. The road to the Miss Teenager Universe competition has been a long and challenging one, but Perera has shown unwavering determination and perseverance. She has worked tirelessly to prepare for this moment, and there is no doubt that she will make Botswana proud. “Perera is a true queen in every sense of the word, and we are honoured to have her represent Botswana on the international stage.
We have no doubt that she will shine bright and make us all proud,” said her parents. Perera said this is her second time representing Botswana internationally and that this time around she is bringing a crown with her back home. The first time, she went to India for the competitions of Miss Teen.
She also stated that her family has shown her full support since day one of entering the competitions and she will forever be grateful for having a family that is so supportive like hers.
