Botswana Police Service (BPS)' spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Dipheko Motube said the accident occured around 23:30 pm at Ga-modubu along the A12 road.

'The bus was carrying 77 passengers when it caught fire. Investigations into the matter are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire. The two unidentified deceased passengers were found in the wreckage while 15 sustained minor injuries and 60 escaped uninjured,' Motube said.
