Another gourmet experience at Pigs on Fire

 

It was indeed a feast as patrons immersed themselves on bottomless meat throughout the day. Even though it was a pork event, there was something for everyone as attendees were treated to all kinds of meat to cater for non-pork eaters. The meat was served in all kinds of different recipes; from smoked boerewors to braised pork ribs in chilli sauce.

The dishes were just mouth-watering. It was a laid back atmosphere as patrons also enjoyed good music from the DJs while they feasted on the food. There was also children activities to cater for the kids as most people came with their families to enjoy pork on the day. As usual, the organisers showcased new pork cooking methods to patrons besides being a moment of unlimited feast.

The new venue allowed patrons to get intimate with the chefs and give them a front row experience of what happens on the fire. The set-up allowed for easy interaction with the chefs. As the event is meant to change the stereotypes and connotations about pork and growing the pig farming industry in Botswana, different stakeholders such as suppliers and pork farmers had mounted stalls to share information on their products. Although the event was a proper feast, the only disappointment was that people had to wait in long queues to get served.

It seems as time went on and with more people arriving, the patrons overwhelmed the waiters who had initially done well to serve them. Nonetheless, it was a proper feast that gave pork lovers an opportunity to immerse themselves in the most savoury meals.
