It was Rollers' fifth straight win in the league. They finished second on the log standings, a point behind Jwaneng Galaxy who clinched the league title over the weekend after amassing 65 points.

There have been questions regarding Morapedi’s stay at the club. Some have speculated that he might be fired if he does not win the league. Rollers started the season like a house on fire but later on experienced a slump. Even Morapedi partly attributed the team's failure to win the league to the mid-season slump. “I also read about speculations that I will be fired.

That is the plight of a coach. You are hired to be fired. I do not live on speculation, but I wish I can stay at the club,” he said. He added: “You will be very lucky if you join a team and instantly win the championship. With a lot of planning and thinking, we can come better prepared next season.” TAFIC coach Woody Jacobs has also expressed desire to stay at the club. Jacobs joined TAFIC early this month from Premier League rookies, Matebele. He was on a short-term contract until the end of the season.

“I wanted to give the shareholders an opportunity to see me and see if my style of coaching fits into their philosophy.

We have to sit down and talk about the future. I do not know if they are happy about the performance of the team or see any improvement. A lot depends on the club, but I am willing to listen. TAFIC has a huge history and would love to be at the club. I have been here for approximately a month, but I love the city,” Jacobs told SportMonitor. The only goal of the match was scored by Onkarabile Ratanang six minutes before the break, when he capitalised from a corner.
