Salim Kegodile, a representative from Boxyards Events, the organisers of the event, promises that this year's edition will surpass the inaugural one held in December last year. “This year, things are going to be even much bigger,” Kegodile said in an interview. “That is why we opted for the Royal Aria Stadium.

We want to give music lovers the best experience ever and that is why we have started marketing the event early,” he added. Reflecting on the lessons learned from last year's event, Kegodile emphasised that the team is dedicated to improving every aspect of the event.

“We have learned from our mistakes,” he said. “We are working on everything. We want the stage and sound to be of top quality and ensure that everything will make the event the best. Our number one priority is the safety of our clients, and we will do our best to ensure that we have top-notch security,” he noted.

The line-up for this year’s event features prominent Amapiano artists from South Africa including MrJazziQ, Leemckrazy, Thuli P, Justin99, and PCEE. Botswana will also be well represented by a vibrant roaster of artists such as DJ Bunny, DJ KSB, SwagkidsDJs, LebGee, DJ Modric, and Casper the DJ.

The event will be hosted by energetic MCs: MC Theo, MduthaParty, and T.H.A.B.O. “We will keep on introducing more acts as time goes on,” Kegodile said. “We really want this event to be the best, one that people will talk about around the city and the country. We are thrilled to bring such a diverse and talented group of artists to our audience,” he said. Kegodile also detailed the ticketing arrangements, ensuring affordability and accessibility for attendees. Tickets are priced at P150 for a single entry and P250 for a double entry, with a VIP package to be announced later.

“They can be purchased at Webtickets kiosks across the country and at various Choppies Stores located in Selebi-Phikwe Mall, Jwaneng, Tati Town Francistown, Metsimotlhabe, and Zeerust Road Lobatse. Tickets are also available for purchase online at www.webtickets.co.bw,” he noted.

The decision to host the event at the Royal Aria Stadium underscores the organisers’ commitment to provide a high-quality experience. “The choice of venue was crucial,” Kegodile explained. “We needed a place that could accommodate a larger crowd and provide the infrastructure required for a world-class event,” Kegodie said.

As anticipation builds for the Simply Piano music event, Kegodile and his team continue to work tirelessly to ensure every detail is perfected. He said: “We want our audience to leave with memories that will last a lifetime,” he stated. “Our goal is to set a new standard for music events in Botswana,” he added.

With a star-studded line-up and a focus on top-tier production, the Simply Piano event is poised to become a landmark occasion in the region’s music calendar. “We are not just organising a concert; we are creating an experience. And we are confident that this year’s event will be talked about for years to come,” Kegodile concluded.
