Sygosh releases Twerka Preggy single

The single was produced by Con Car RSA, Recorded by DJ Escot, mixed and mastered by DJ Call Me.
Sygosh said she chose to sing the song because she was pregnant. She further said as female artists, they were not looked at in a respective manner especially when performing while pregnant. She added that it was the reason why they end up hiding and cancelling their upcoming bookings and events due to pregnancy.
“People tease us by saying hurtful words to us female artists when we perform when pregnant. I want them to understand that for most us, being artists is a career like any other career and therefore we deserve to be respected. I decided to release this song to show or give a message that we are human beings.
We have to have kids and families like any other women out there,” she said. Sygosh further encouraged fellow artists to continue working and performing even when they are pregnant saying it was their job. She said they have to perform until they go for a maternity leave like any other job out there.
She also said she was proud to be an artist and a mother as well. Furthermore, she explained that it is a very special song because her fans were very impressed about the energy that she had during her pregnancy journey. She added that other women artists were shocked to see her performing and even released a song during her pregnancy. “I have grown over the years both vocally and with my performances. I have worked with big producers like DJ Call Me, Jazzman and others. The challenges I face as an artist in Botswana is that we do not have enough support especially from our promoters.
They usually want to give us free slots. Even a few of the so-called big artists supports us. It is hard to get sponsors as well,” she said.
