In an interview with Arts and Culture, the 24-year-old young woman pointed out that she is currently pursuing her career to become a chartered accountant. She explained that MoBots Creatives (Pty) Ltd published her fiction book on May 26. The book has 227 pages and 13 Chapters.

“I always had a desire to encourage and inspire those who are going through challenges. So I wrote the book so as to inspire someone that regardless of what you go through, never give up on yourself. The book is an inspirational fiction, which delves into the life of an orphaned girl named Fadzai who goes through the turmoil of life in search for peace and education,” she said.

She added that her audience was everyone who was going through tough time especially orphans and vulnerable children. She also said the book seeks to comfort those broken hearted souls who were having a hard time coping with life changes following their loss. She further explained that the few people who had read it so far, hail it as a very inspirational book, saying it gives them strength to keep pushing no matter what comes their way.

She added that her readers could relate with the emotions portrayed in the story. However, she pointed out that she faced some challenges of which lack of resources, especially financially was her biggest. She said at some point she wanted to give up on the way. However, she encouraged herself to keep on going because she believed the message carried by the book was bigger than her.

She added that the publishing company she worked with also had her back and encouraged her to push harder. Moreover, Marime said she was seeing herself helping upcoming authors and supporting them in fulfilling their dreams. She explained that she aspired to have an organisation that looked after orphans and the under privileged like Fadzai.

She said the most chapter she loves in the book is chapter 13, which showcases the reward of persistence and endurance to Fadzai after the agony she went through. “When publishing Behind The Smile, there are times I had to pause because I could not stop crying. The situations Fadzai went through really broke my heart. The author really relayed the story so well,' said Reginald Makanye of MoBots Creatives.
