He further said the vetting process will begin on July 3 and the initial candidate list and the appeal process will follow with the final list availed on July 29. There is also a new twist with a reduction in the voters' list. A total of 38 delegates will be able to cast their vote at this year's general assembly. This is a reduction of almost 50% of the voters from the 2020 elections. The Botswana Football League (BFL), the national women's football committee and 17 regional structures will each send two representatives to decide football's new leadership for the next four years. BFA CEO, Mfolo Mfolo said the football structures are advised to send a chairperson and secretary-general to cast their vote at this year's congress. Seven positions – the president, first vice president, second vice president, women's representative, and three additional members – are up for grabs. 'The requirement for the president is that you should not be younger than 30 years but less than 75, that is the main requirement for the president. You should not have a criminal record, and also you should not have served in the BFA national executive committee for more than three terms. Those (requirements) are the main ones,' Letina said.
