Passenger dies in Ngwapa road mishap

The man who was a passenger in a Honda Fit vehicle, was certified dead on arrival at Sefhare clinic. Machaneng assistant police station commander, assistant superintendent, Kebueng Hulela said the accident occured about 7km before Ngwapa village. 'We do not know what really transpired but since it's a single vehicle accident, we suspect that the driver might have lost control of the car and it overturned. Investigations into the matter are ongoing,' he said. 'The car had five people on board and amongst them was a three-year-old and they all escaped the accident with minor injuries and are recuperating at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital,' Hulela added. Meanwhile, Hulela said they are investigating another incident in which a 79-year-old man was hit by a car while crossing the road along the Borotsi- Chadibe road. He stated that the pedestrian sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalized at Nyangabgwe hospital in a stable condition.
