Jele tests positive for doping again

Jele is fresh from a four-year ban for a similar offence and now faces a lengthy period on the sidelines. National Anti-Doping Agency (NADO) coordinator, Frederick Seno told MmegiSport that the athlete has tested positive for a banned substance, a steroid called stanozolol. “The athlete has been informed about the findings. We will reveal the name of the athlete as soon as we finalise some processes that we are working on,” he said before MmegiSport received confirmation of Jele's name. According to information reaching this publication, Jele returned an adverse analytical finding for the prohibited anabolic steroid. The steroid is prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and included on the prohibited list under Anabolic Agents as a substance that is prohibited at all times. Athletes who test positive for stanozolol potentially face a four-year ban from sport for an intentional violation. The recent case follows two other doping cases that were recorded in June involving Ditiro Nzamani and Pertunia Gaegopolwe.
