POST: CONVEYANCING ATTORNEY
Qualification and Requirements: A first-class or upper second class Bachelor’s Degree in Law
Experience: 3-4 PQE (post-qualification experience. Must be admitted to practice before the Courts of the Republic of Botswana as an Attorney, Notary Public and Conveyancer and should be an experienced Conveyancing Attorney. A further degree or professional legal or company secretarial qualification will be an added advantage.
Competencies:
In-depth experience with conveyancing transactions, dealing with the Deeds Registry and Land Boards.
Experience with incorporation of companies; drafting resolutions and familiarity with CIPA forms, and some prior due diligence experience.
Knowledge of the company, financial regulation and taxation laws in Botswana will be an added advantage.
Analytical capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Computer literacy and ability to use electronic databases for research purposes.
Results-oriented and performance driven.
Ability to work to deadlines and work the hours required of professional staff.
Willingness to learn and to engage in continuing professional education.
