With Saturday night predominantly perceived to be a night of partying, especially in the city of lights, the Hosanna Gospel Singers live recording, a gospel event, defied the odds as it attracted a big crowd.
Of late, Gospel events in Botswana are taking over especially on dates that people never thought the events could be held on. This is so because ordinarily on these dates, you have to compete for numbers with other festivities that the Generation Z (people born between 1995 and 2010) are so much besotted with. However, the Hosanna live recording was able to pull the much desired crowd at the Molapo Showcase. Not only was the live recording able to pull gospel enthusiasts together under one roof, the recording was everything to die for.
It was totally unmatched vibes from the crowd who clearly showed that they do not regret spending any penny on tickets purchases. The gospel singers like Benjamin Dube and Yanga Sobetwa too reciprocated the vibes they were showered with by the Gospel fanatics.
Dube, a bishop of high note, lit up Molapo Showcase as he had the whole crowd standing up and singing along with him every bit. Not only did he have people in attendance serenading along, he was in sync with the band of the day, Hosanna Singers, as if they had been doing this for quite a while together.
As she had promised prior to the event, Yanga who rose through the ranks after winning Idols SA, surely left the attendees mesmerised.
Just like Dube, the 23-year-old had the crowd eating out of the palm of her palm. She showed exactly that her winning Idols SA was definitely not a fluke with the Jeso o ntekane song.
Hosanna Singers matched up to every artist that was on the line-up and delivered one of their spectacular performances.
