Lady Zamar rocks Grand Palm’s Divas in charge show

The event, dubbed Divas in Charge, was an effort from the hotel to celebrate its customers and give them a unique opportunity to network whilst dancing. Although the event did not attract many attendees, probably because of the cold weather, it did go on. With an all female line-up, the show host, radio personality Petula El Kindly, introduced the divas one by one on the decks. Notably, it was impressive that the deejays offered an array of sets from Amapiano, RnB, Hip Hop and reggae. The local female Deejays, DJ Jam’N’I , MsWings DJ, Aayishe, and B on the Decks were dressed to impress and the cold front did not deter the female deejays from dishing out their fresh sets as the crowd awaited the star attraction of the night. The guest of honour, rocked up at the venue dressed in an all black shiny number.
Lady Zamar was received by thunderous screams from the handful of people who had rocked up for the event, quickly moving from their seats to the front. Clutching out their cellphones to capture both in picture and video while waiting for the sterling performance they were about to receive from the South African. Before sampling a few songs from her new album, Rainbow, Lady Zamar, born Yamikani Janet Banda, took attendees down memory lane of some of her famous hits. From Love is blind, Collide to my baby, Lady Zamar's singles from her 2027's King Zamar, proved to be the favourite to the crowd as compared to her latest songs.
However, that could be attributed to the fact that the album is a month old and some of the songs may have been completely new to the attendees. The south star took turns in between the songs to explain the meanings and inspiration behind the songs, saying: “Don’t let anyone steal your shine. Take back your power.” After 45 minutes, Lady Zamar completed her set before mingling for a few minutes with her fans.
