Suspect, 22, to face defilement charge

The arrest follows an incident whereby the girl's parents, suspicious of their daughter's recent change in behaviour and irregular movements, covertly followed her to the suspect's home. Machaneng Police Station Commander, Superintendent Gagopale Gaselarona, said the girl's parent reported the matter to the police.
“She arrived at the suspect’s place and they caught her red-handed inside his room even though he (the suspect) had stepped out. They reported the matter to the police,' he said. Gaselarona added the parents suspected that their daughter might be involved with a man, which they investigated to confirm their suspicions, leading to the suspect's arrest. He added that the suspect was likely to appear before Palapye Magistrate’s Court this week to face a single count of defilement.
