VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

HEADTEACHER (1 POST)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above-mentioned position at Tlokweng Dayspring School in Gaborone.

Qualifications:

• Must have a 4 year Bachelor of Education Degree. Having studied education administration, teaching methodology or philosophy of education is an added advantage.

Must have:

• Minimum of 5 years recent and continuous experience as a school administrator

• Excellent administrative and interpersonal skills, planning and organization skills, ability to work under pressure and deadline

• Experience in teaching lower primary and upper primary

• Effective verbal and written communication skills,

• Computer literacy and competency in Microsoft office

• Willingness to work during term breaks and other times when needed to

• Passion for teaching and learning

• A desire to work with children

• Well-versed and experienced in the Botswana curriculum and the A Beka curriculum

Demonstration in active involvement in the extra-curricular activities is an added advantage

Main purpose of the job:

Overseeing day-to-day operations, implementing educational policies, managing staff, handling disciplinary matters and supporting the overall school development.
