Rollers unveil 10 new players

Among some of the most prominent names is Mothusi Cooper, who joined the club from city rivals, Gaborone United (GU). The midfielder is expected to fill the void left by Phenyo Serameng who joined Sua Flamingoes. Cooper is not new to the Rollers’ environment after donning the blue and gold jersey a few seasons ago. The club also introduced former Orapa United duo, Lemogang Maswena and Tapiwa Nyamanjiva. Maswena was among the players who were released by the Ostriches at the end of last season. Nyamanjiva was also surprisingly put on transfer list.
He joined Rollers on a season-long loan. His arrival is also a boost for Rollers since he can play both as a midfielder and a centre back. Rollers have also added fire power upfront with the signing of Namibian striker, Ambrosius Amseb who has previously played for Masitaoka. Other players who were unveiled on Saturday are Simon Bapaletswe (defender) from Nico United, Botshelo Mangena (left back) from Police XI, Christopher Lemme (striker) from Security Systems, Onkemetse Makhura (defensive midfielder) from Newdon in South Africa as well as Temo Segopolo (midfielder) from Premier Stars. Rollers have also ring some changes in the technical team with Mogomotsi Mpote leading the pack.
He will be assisted by Innocent Morapedi and Oarabile Seabo. Meanwhile, Rollers chairperson, Bafana Pheto, said the team was charting a new and exciting path under the leadership of investor, Tendani Sebata. Sebata is Rollers’ new president and financier, taking over from Jimmy Kereng. Besides Rollers management and supporters, the season launch also attracted dignitaries among them, Orlando Pirates legend, Tebogo Moloi, former Rollers coach, Madinda Ndlovu as well as the Assistant Minister of Trade and Industry, Beauty Manake. Rollers also unveiled the new kits ahead of the season, designed by new technical sponsor, Monflair sports.
