Senabye, Boago Fenju sing Jeso Tsaya Taolo

The song was produced in Gaborone at the Chankieland Studios. In an interview with Senabye, she indicated that the song was inspired by a biblical verse: 2 Chronicles 7: 14 that reads: “If my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn away from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and heal their land.” She explained that the verse is more like a nation’s prayer and also calls for everyone to surrender their lives to God. She also said they were answering to God’s call of repentance on behalf of their nation. “We cry for your will to be done in our nation. In this song, I collaborated with the award-winning Boago Fenju. I wanted to do something different from what I am used to and honestly, we happened to just love one another. I asked for collaboration and with the help of the producer Ernest Seakgosing.
This single was taken from one of the songs I recorded in July 2024 at Chankieland Studios,” she stated. Furthermore, Senabye pointed out that it was her first time doing a live recording with a full band. She added that she has seen tremendous growth in her music career. Senabye said unlike in the past, she handles her own business without engaging a second party. Despite the growth, Senabye said she still faces challenges such as finance. She indicated that this has hampered her plans to release an album. However, just like her name, she rejoices in a couple of achievements. She said she has been nominated several times for different gospel awards and got an opportunity to minister the Gospel in South Africa and Zimbabwe. She added that she has been nominated again this year with the Jeso Tsaya Taolo single at the Gospel Music Awards for Best Collaboration and Song of the Year. The single is taken from her debut album due for release soon.
