Study Break; Pie r-squared.

She said that it was going to be a special one and that she was going all out. When she finished, my brother and I got hit with an exciting smell of deliciousness from the kitchen. When we laid eyes on the masterpiece she created, I particularly was star struck and pleasantly surprised. Mom asked what my reaction meant and I responded by saying, ‘I thought she was preparing phaleche, but instead we got a magnificent meal in the form of a pie’. She cut two slices of the pie, one for me and another for my little brother Shalom, and waited in anticipation for us to give it a taste. If I am to be completely honest, this pie was Bussin! (It tasted REALLY, REALLY good). We are really enjoying the different Bull Brand Meals she keeps whipping up for us, especially as I am on my final Study Break before my leavers finals.@ That, ladies and gentlemen, is quite a fair account of the pie from the first born of our household.

For me this was a challenging meal in that I opted to make the pie crust using my trusted fighter, 2ingredient Nutriday dough. There is nothing that comes close to puff pastry and often it is a big part of the making of a great pie, but I did not allow this to deter me. I fixed up a pie tin and mixed up some 2i dough, cut out some decorations, whisked an egg for washing the pie and got to work on the filling. To my pleasant surprise, I’d like to confidently share that 2i Nutriday dough makes a great pie crust. Not so much fluffy, but soft and cooks evenly, holding the filling well. Some of the best starchy side dishes include: Mashed potatoes - a meat pie side dish classic. Fluffy, soft, buttery mashed potatoes, with their creamy texture, are perfect for absorbing any gorgeous gravy. Roasted potatoes are also a great alternative. This was a hearty meat pie recipe, very quick, easy, and starring the convenient and satisfying crowd -pleasing ingredient; Bull Brand Mince Meals.
