FNB Premiership champions to pocket P1.4m

A press release from the BFL stated that champions for this season will walk away with P1.4 million at the end of the campaign. The development follows title sponsorship deal between the BFL and First National Bank Botswana (FNBB), which amounts to a total of P9.5 million. The entire sponsorship revenue has been allocated to the clubs, the statement added.
The runners up in the league will pocket P730, 000 while the team that finished third walks away with P400, 000. For positions four and five, teams will pocket P350, 000 and P290, 000 respectively. On the other hand, relegated sides, which are those in position 14, 15, 16), each will take home P110, 000. The player of the season will go home P100, 000 richer at the end of the season while the players’ player of the season, coach of the season, top goalscorer and referee of the season each will take home P50, 000. There are also prizes for young player of the season, goalkeeper of the season, assistant referee of the season and supporters player of the season who will each pocket P25, 000. Meanwhile, each club will also get P250, 000 as grants.
