Publishing house, double book launch on the cards

Her two books, Tween Tales - The Mystery of the Missing Sugar and Other Adventures and Silent Echoes, a poetry anthology, address GBV issues and narcissistic encounters. The event is expected to attract a number of authors from Namibia, Zimbabwe and South Africa, as well as local authors and students from schools in Maun. There will be other activities on the day with poets, artists and DJs expected to add vibe to the day's line-up. Mpala is a highly respected educator with over 28 years of experience in teaching. She is an English language and Literature teacher at Nata Senior Secondary School. She began her career as a temporary teacher at Donga CJSS in 1991 and has since become an accomplished figure in the field.
Not only is Mpala an accomplished educator, she is also a renowned author. Her other publication, a novel titled, 'Lea's Secret,' published by PoeticBlood Publishers, has received multiple awards, showcasing her talent and dedication to storytelling. In addition to her novel, Mpala's poetry has been featured in the 'Writing Woman Anthology - Poetry and Visual Art: An Anthology of African Asian Writers and Artists - Volume 3 (2023).' This recognition further establishes her as a talented and diverse writer. Furthermore, Mpala is the founder and editor-in-chief of Colourful Chronicles Magazine, an online lifestyle magazine that showcases a wide range of topics and perspectives. Prior to this, she served as the editor-in-chief of Kasapa Inhouse Magazine, a publication based in South Africa. Her expertise and passion for journalism have also led her to become a senior columnist for Image magazine, a prominent publication in South Africa. Mpala's contributions to the literary and media world have not gone unnoticed. She has been featured in various local and international newspapers.
Her insights and experiences have also been shared through interviews on various radio stations and appearances on the national television. Beyond her accomplishments as an educator and writer, Mpala is an inspirational speaker. She has delivered talks at numerous summits, boot camps, and other events, where she provides motivation and guidance to students and aspiring individuals. Her exceptional work has earned her several notable awards and recognition. She was nominated for the Zikomo Awards 2023 and shortlisted for the Botswana Literature Awards 2023. Furthermore, she received the AfriCAN Honoree Authors' Award in 2023 and was honored with the Mulher Forte African Literature Awards 2024 for Best Novelist. Mpala's extensive experience, passion for education and remarkable contributions to literature and media make her a true inspiration to many.
