Afro Ventures Botswana (Pty) Ltd T/A and Beyond requires a capable, stable, and energetic Executive Chef. and Beyond is built, almost entirely, on the strength of remarkable people who give passionately to their roles, work tirelessly, and have the guest experience at the core of their focus daily as well as care for both communities and the environment.

Key Outputs:

• Cost management, local purchasing and PAR stock management, stock takes, monthly reporting, and equipment maintenance.

• Responsible for all food safety and hygiene, including dietary requirements, cold chain management, HACCP, stock controls and rotation, safety procedures, grooming and etiquette.

• Carry out menu planning and execution according to brand standards, menu development, menu costing, presentation, product quality, waste control, guest feedback score achievement, special activities food planning.

• Manage all kitchen teams, including rosters, leave, training, upholding performance standards, staff motivation, ensure that team members accept responsibility for outcomes, and initiate disciplinary procedures when necessary.

• Ensure that the guest experience is exceptional, including inviting feedback, exchanging ideas with teams, interacting with guests, and researching food trends.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree or diploma in the culinary arts

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the 5-star hospitality industry
