The incident occurred on July 5, 2019. According to the charge sheet, Tshiamo Olaotswe is accused of murdering Thabiso Gabanthole. Olaotswe allegedly struck Gabanthole with a stone and then stabbed him with a knife.

As of now, it isn't clear what may have caused the argument between the accused and the deceased. Olaotswe's trial was supposed to begin yesterday (November 25) but Justice Lot Moroka postponed the matter to November 26 after the prosecutor informed the court that he was unable to recognise some of his witnesses due to their late arrival the previous night on November 24. Subsequently, Moroka postponed the trial to commence today. The trial will also continue on November 27 and 28.
