The BFL has been forced to switch the re-scheduled clash between log leaders, TAFIC and GU to the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium this afternoon. This after GU raised concerns over the use of the council stadium which the Reds director, Nicholas Zakhem questioned the decision to homologate the facility to host Premier League matches. 'I want to see who certified the Francistown Stadium. I hope (Bennett) Mamelodi (Botswana Football League CEO) will now be in a position to provide us with documents on who authorised the use of the stadium. I am an engineer and I know what I am talking about. The issue at the stadium is drainage,' Zakhem said.
TAFIC was due to play GU in December but the match could not proceed due to a waterlogged pitch. Both GU and TAFIC go into the game after failing to win their weekend matches following stalemates against BDF XI and Jwaneng Galaxy respectively. TAFIC lead the log, two points ahead of nearest pursuers, Township Rollers while GU are fourth, four points adrift.
