Summer Xplosion turns out to be nightmare

Even though the event attracted a large number of people, having to access the venue was a total nightmare as people had to take hours to get into the venue. This was due to the traffic caused by the security personnel who were in charge of providing tags to people that went to attend the event as well as searching vehicles. Some people even opted to park their cars by the nearby bushes so that they could walk to the venue after losing patience on being stuck in traffic that was moving at a snail’s pace. The slow movement of traffic was also attributed to the fact that there were too many check points where revelers' cards would be thoroughly scrutinised even though the same search had been done at the first check point, which did not make sense. As if that was not enough, the VVIP section was placed at the far end of the venue and people in that section had to pass into the VIP to see their favourite artists, which also did not help as the bouncers restricted people from getting in to see the artists though they paid hefty amounts to have that privilege.
Funny enough, even though they could not get access to the backstage, people who were at the general section were better placed to see the artists since they were placed just in front of the stage. Despite some people from the VVIP section trying to complain that they had paid a lot of money to get access to the backstage and see their favourite international artists, their pleas were disregarded. According to some of the bouncers, they got the directive not to allow anyone in, no matter how much they had paid to be at the event. Earlier on, those who managed to access the backstage were harshly pushed away by the bouncers. As if that was not enough, one local photo journalist who was taking pictures found himself knocked down to the ground by the barricades that were pushed by the agitated audience from the VIP and VVIP sections. For those who waited outside the stage area into the VIP section with the hope of taking pictures of their favourite international artists, their hopes were shattered as only a few could take pictures as the artists had a heavy security that swiftly escorted them into the cars.
However, regardless of the heavy rainfall earlier on, local stars ushered the audience with brilliant performances. Those include the likes of the Khiri khorong khorong star, ATI, Chokoma, Juu Matere and later Lioness Ratang, who performed right after the rain stopped. Some of the international artists who graced the event are Uncle Waffles, DJ Maphorisa and Kelvin Momo.
