However, Motaung could not be drawn into discussing the length of Dodo's contract. Reports say the coach will sign a results-oriented contract for a season. There will be an option of renewing the contract at its expiry depending on performance, sources said.

Motaung said Dodo is expected to achieve certain targets despite the fact that the club is operating on a shoe-string budget.   He said the TAFIC management is willing and trying to do everything within its power to ensure that the club is transformed into a professional side. 'Our financial status is the drawback. We do not have money.  And hiring a professional coach to drill TAFIC is just a gamble,' Motaung said.

By appointing Dodo, the assumption is that the team will start winning games and attract disgruntled supporters back, he said.  He said the intention is to bring back the glory days at TAFIC. A delighted Motaung said Dodo's resume, drive and ambition made him the outstanding candidate for the job that has become a frightening venture for many locals and foreigners.

Efforts to get a comment from Dodo drew a blank as his mobile phone was unreachable. The coach was dismissed by Rollers in April this year following a string of poor results.
