He attributed the firm's growth since it set up shop in Botswana 17 years ago to customer relations and loyalty.

He said the company seeks to position itself as an industry leader in customer service by ensuring strong customer ties. Kubu said they have just completed a five-year strategy plan to grow the business. He stressed that they value relationships built over time with customers, staff, the insurance fraternity and other valuable business partners.

'We are currently reviewing our processes to make them customer-oriented and this should greatly improve our customer service. We believe every effort should be taken to ensure nothing but the best experience for all our customers, whether it be for the simple or complex task,' he said.

He said Metropolitan Botswana's long-term vision is to provide unparallelled customer service to clients through innovative ways such as educating customers on matters relating to finance and investment.

Kubu said embarking on team coaching and mentoring for service staff ensures that they are well positioned to deliver excellent service.

He said the intervention may involve reviewing service standards and continuously finding ways of recognising and appreciating different kinds of customers who fall in various segments of their business.
