“I miss being on stage and just being heavily involved but I have to do this. I am waiting for a miracle from God,” Nagafela told Showbiz.

She recently cut ties with award-winning gospel musician, Kabelo Eric, whom she served as a back-up vocalist and publicist. “He had bigger opportunities so I had to let him go so he could explore them. But that is water under the bridge, we are both mature about it and do not want to be seen to be fighting,” she said. She stated that it was an amicable parting of ways.

Nagafela previously had stints with Channel O awards nominee, Kast and Skizo besides her role in Thokolosi as Keledi – a woman who was in an abusive relationship with a loveless man.  Keledi was her first acting role.  She has said she was forced to take up the role by her cousin who featured in the initial series of the Botswana Television (Btv) drama.

“Acting was quite an experience for me and if another opportunity presents itself, I will definitely jump at it,” she said.

The Ditshegwane-born star’s maiden album was recorded in 2005.  She stopped promoting the secular album after she decided she would only sing for God though she has maintained her much-loved hip-hop genre.

“I feel hip-hop speaks to my heart. I can easily relate to it. There are times when I just want to listen to it. I feel it is one genre that has a lot to say,” she explained.

The multi-talented star, who also owns an interior décor company, is a daughter to former Letlhakeng West MP, Filbert Nagafela.
