Amos and Gops embark on charity tour

He said his group Black Brothers has decided to join forces with Gops and Radijo because they have experience in the music industry and charity issues. He said  many Batswana, both young and old are still living in abject poverty, hence the need to help them through charity shows. The theme of the charity tour is ‘Believe It Or Not’. Known in entertainment circles as DJ Zoro, Amos said they decided on the theme because they are aware that there are some people who are questioning his involvement in the music industry. “People should know that some people have many talents and have to use them all. Running is my God-given talent, that is the reason I am running, now I am following other talents that God gave me because I don’t want to waste them,” he explained.

After singing with Black Brothers group, Amos said he will go straight to the deck to show his DJ skills. He wants to prove that he is not only a good DJ, but an experienced and talented one, since he has been performing for years. He said that during the tour, they expect to raise enough money to help the less privileged. He said after growing up in a poor family, he knows how difficult it is for the poverty-stricken. He sympathised with students who at times are forced to go to school hungry and barefoot even in winter.

“These are the people who are really in need of our help, and I am happy to be involved in charity matters,” he said.  Gops of GAG Entertainment and Promotions said he has organised the charity tour in conjunction with the Money Group. He said the show at the Calabash will be different because of the presence of DJ Zoro and Black Brothers. He urged revellers to come and see the ‘new kid on the block’. “Even me Rathobane I am yet to see DJ Zoro aka Nijel Amos on the decks, and I can’t wait to do that,” Gops said.  He pleaded with people to come in large numbers to the charity show to help the needy. He said he will be playing his soon-to-be released album titled Kgatho. After tomorrow’s show, Gops said their tour will take them to Kanye in November , followed by other performances in Ghanzi, Maun, Nata and Kasane.
