Rolling Boys have been on a losing steak but over the weekend they upped their game to avoid another defeat.

From the first whistle, they staged a brave fight to deny the visitors victory that could have pushed them further down the log standings. Both sides played well but lack of composure in the danger area was their undoing.

Modipane captain, Molatlhegi 'Teenage' Podile terrorised and dismantled Rolling Boys defence but unfortunately, his powerful strike went over the crossbar in the 25th minute. He came close again in the 32nd minute after going through the defence and coming face to face with the goalkeeper Mmoloki Sedimo. He was let down by poor finishing.

As the first half progressed, Modipane continued piling pressure, but their forwards were a let down as they failed to convert chances. In the 40th minute, Podile passed the ball to striker Patrick Dikanenyane who instead of tapping in went for power and shot went over the bar.

In the 43th minute, Rolling Boys went on the offensive but Boiki Mosimanegape's dangerous cross eluded forwards Mogomotsi Kebaitse and Kabo Matlhare. They came close again in the 76th minute through substitute Bosa Kenosi's thunderbolt, but goalkeeper Gaotlhobogwe Podile was equal to the task. Five minutes later, Kenosi was at it again, this time unleashing a low hard ball, which Gaotlhobogwe saved.

In other games played over the weekend, Jwaneng Comets walloped Prisons XI 4-2, Killer Giants and Black Peril drew 0-0, Mochudi Buffaloes and Ghanzi Terrors drew 2-2, Letlapeng who are still at the top of the log with 22 points thrashed Masitaoka 2-0, while second placed rookies, Mmankgodi Black Forest, worsened former be MOBILE Premier League outfit, Mogoditshane Fighters' woes by hammering them 2-1 in their own backyard.
