Rollers progressed through on away goals rule after the two teams were tied at 4-4 on aggregate.

Rollers had won 3-2 in the first leg, scoring three crucial away goals.

The match was expected to be a thriller and lived up to its expectations until late in the second half when things turned ugly. Referee, Joshua Bondo came under attack from Chiefs players and officials after awarding Rollers a penalty in the second half and sending-off striker, Bonolo Fraizer. Chiefs' captain, Pontsho Moloi returned after missing the first leg and staged a man of the match performance. Rollers opted for Godfrey Ngele ahead of Maano Ditshupo. Chiefs dominated the early proceedings as they looked to unsettle Rollers with an early goal and they achieved their ambition in the 10th minute.

Patrick Lenyeletse caught Rollers' defence napping and struck a beautiful volley to give his side  early hope.

Chiefs continued to dominate the midfield with Elvis Meleka and Othusitse Pilane destroying everything that Rollers tried to build.

Rollers fielded an attacking midfield leaving the defence exposed most of the time. In the 28th minute, Chiefs doubled the lead through Lemponye Tshireletso. Moloi, who was a constant threat to Rollers' defence laid a beautiful cross which Tshireletso finished.

The goal came just few minutes after Chiefs had wasted another good opportunity.

Fraizer found himself one-on-one with Rollers goalkeeper, Mwampule Masule but failed to control the ball.

He was dispossessed much to the relief of Rollers' supporters. Rollers reacted quickly and introduced Ditshupo for Ngele to try and strengthen the midfield.

In the second half, they introduced Kenanao Kgetholetsile and Gofaone Tiro to try and increase firepower.

They were awarded a penalty and Jerome Louis converted. Chiefs were dealt a heavy blow when Fraizer received marching orders for an off the ball incident.
