The event which is in its sixth year running is the brain child of former Yarona Fm Station Manager Dumi Lopang and is maimed to raise money for charity while at the same time encouraging a healthy living by exercising and maintaining a minimal healthy weight.
The event organiser Tshepang Tlhankane said initially when the competition/challenge started it involved different celebrities across the country fighting for the ultimate prize and at the same time trying to a lose a certain amount of weight.
However he noted that as the challenge/competition grew they had to involve cooperate companies to raise more funds for the less privileged.
'This year is cooperate challenge in the sense that either private or public companies should play a bigger role when it comes to lending a hand to charity or individuals in need of help', stressed Tlhankane. All companies that were involved in the challenge had to go through some series of exercises as early as six in the morning without breaking a sweat as they accumulated points through out which in the end guaranteed the ultimate winner walking way with a trophy and medals.
The companies that took part were all rewarded with medals including Yarona Fm, who scooped position four, Botswana Investment Trade Centre at position five, Pula Medical Aid at sixth position, AFA company at position three and lastly Khumo Properties at position two respectively.
