Comedian revs up Boosta Bash night

For a show that started late, Matlakala managed to rev up the mood with his Sepedi narrated jokes and transform irritability to laughter.
From one punchline to the next, Matlakala showed his Botswana audience that he did not come second in the South African 'So You Think You Are Funny' in 2009 by default. His Sepedi did not deter him from engaging with the audience who managed to follow him quite perfectly without the need for interpretation.
Having taken the stage before Matlakala's act, show organiser, Seabelo Modibe, said that the comedy night is a build up to the annual Boosta Bash that takes place on December 31.
He said that as a new addition this year, they will be touring villages such as Molepolole and Gantsi as part of the Boosta Bash. Modibe said that they have diversified their line-up to suit different age groups and tastes.
This year, music giants Stimela are set to grace the Boosta Bash stage alongside Kabelo, Mandoza, Malaika's Tshidi and local acts like Groove Cartell and Samantha Mogwe.
