After displaying a good run since the league commenced, Black Forest now lie second in the standings and look set to challenge for the title.

They are only two points behind Letlapeng who have accumulated 22 points and have stayed tops since the league started.

Black Forrest are the surprise package in the league after stealing the limelight from former Premier League sides like Jwaneng Comets, Prisons XI, Mogoditshane Fighters and Mochudi Buffaloes.

Their caretaker coach Martin Motswiri said he is happy to see his club finishing the first round in second spot. He attributed the good performance to management and players' commitment.

He gave credit to his players who have given a good account of themselves despite the fact that they are rookies.

After being promoted to the league this year, Motswiri said they sat down with the players to tell them what to expect.

They asked them not to put themselves under pressure on the pitch even when playing against the giants. Motswiri said Black Forest players are prepared to win games, no matter how tough it might be.

'My boys are prepared to beat their opponents and they take any game like a cup final,' he said. He hopes that the players continue with the same attitude in the second round.
