He tied the knot with his long-time sweetheart last Saturday.
It seems the marriage bug has not only hit Eureka but many of his peers in the country. Just recently another hip pop star Kast (Tshepiso Molapisi) married his girlfriend. The nuptials between Eureka and Bonolo Mmopiemang made it a total of more than four celebrity weddings this year.
Other celebs that walked the aisle this year include the likes of former Botswana Television (Btv) news anchor, Tressure Mothobi and television and radio personality, Gugu Mavuma. Vee has hinted to Showbiz recently that he is also about to bid farewell to bachelorhood. Eureka told Showbiz that he has been in a relationship with his wife for more than 12 years now and they have two children together.
'I am a very committed man and I decided to make her my wife this year as I did not want to disturb her studies,' he said.
He explained that Bonolo has been pursuing a coarse in African languages at the University of Botswana (UB). This seemed like the perfect time to wed, he said, as they have been living together for more than three years. 'I have been ready for marriage ever since I laid my eyes on her. She is God's gift to me,' he said. The hip pop artist who is about to release his third album mentioned that although he knows marriage life is not easy, he is determined to make his a success.
His album, which he said is entitled From Francistown With Love, is to hit the shelves before end of this week. He said he had to delay the release because of the wedding.
The album is a dedication to the people of Francistown - otherwise affectionately known as Ghetto - for giving him nothing but love and support. 'I grew up in Ghetto and those are my biggest fans. They are the ones who often finish my CD's in stores before other places. I owe them a lot so this is a way of extending my appreciation to them,' he said. The album features a lot of hit songs including the one, he said, he originally wrote for his wife.
'There I was thinking about my amazing woman when I saw myself jotting down the lyrics. The song Mosadi was never meant to be on the album, but after a lot of people listened to it, they liked it and encouraged me to include it in my album. She was blown away when I performed it for her at the wedding,' he said.
Other tracks to lookout for in the album include 1996, which features Tshepo Lesole. In this song Eureka talks about the beauty of Botswana and how in the olden days, people used to work together to build a beautiful country.
He makes reference to UB that was built from cattle contributions Batswana made. Travelling Man and Nnetane featuring HHP are also tracks that are yet to blow his fans away.
To add on to his blessings, the award-winning artist mentioned that he enjoys his career as a Computer Scientist, a fact that is little known to his fans.
'Most people only know me as an artist, but I am also a husband, father and a scientist,' he said.
