The soulful singer popularly known for hits such as Almost Doesn't Count and Never Say Never might not be riding the crest of entertainment ladder.  However, she still remains one of the most influential singers of this generation.

The Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, record producer, television personality, is scheduled to perform at Wharic Park in Gaborone on December 21.

Brandy became a teen celebrity after releasing a self-titled debut, Brandy in 1994.  She went on to release four Top 10 singles at the age of 15 and gained international success with the release of hugely successful Never Say Never in 1998. Never Say Never remains her best album to date with five platinum certificates.  Her television sitcom was also a very popular show.

She is also best remembered for her duet with Monica, The Boy Is Mine, which shook audiences worldwide.  Locals scheduled to feature at the high profile show include Wizards who would be looking to use the big stage to re-ignite their old magic, which appears to be slowly fading. Rapper Scar and upcoming group Amanandos will also perform and so will DJs Bunz, Chris Pounds, King Gouvier, TMan and Zoo.

Brandy's show is likely to set the right tone for the festive season, which is expected to climax with the annual Boosta Bash at Hillside Farm in Mmopane.

Traditionally this massive event was held at Lions Park Resort.  The popular event, which takes place on December 31, once again brings a good mixture of talent from various parts of the world.

Ray Phiri led Stimela makes its debut along with fellow South African kwaito musicians Mandoza and Kabelo Mabalane.

Former Malaika lead singer and the trio's only female vocalist Tshedi Moholo, who is embarking on a solo career, will give fans a synopsis of what to expect.

From USA the organisers have brought Ndinga Gaba, Kafele Bandele and Dave Storm from Spain.

Rising star Samantha Mogwe gets another chance to impress.  House music group Groove Cartel, veteran jazz crooner Banjo Mosele, kwasakwasa comeback Alfredo Mos and Franix will also feature at this year's edition.

Wizards, Euri, DJ Kenzo, DJ Anthem, GroovySouls, DJ Gouviea, DJ Kops, Lexx, Q De sal Eddy Ed, Andre DeVaghal and DJ Kriss complete the line-up.
