Kupera confirms Orapa United move

Rollers offloaded the Zimbabwean striker to make way for South African striker Manqoba Ngwenya.

Ngwenya’s arrival at the club took the foreign legion at the club to four, surpassing the quota of three as permitted by the Botswana Premier League.

Rollers’ coach Madinda Ndlovu had to sacrifice the nomadic striker with Malawian Lawrence Majawa and Namibian Jerome Lewis in sizzling form. An elated Kupera confirmed his move to the newly promoted side. He will be with the Orapa side for one and a half years.

'I will be joining Orapa United in January next year. It’s obviously an exciting move for me although I have never watched them play,' Kupera told Mmegi Sport.

Despite being booed by Rollers fans, Kupera said he enjoyed his stint with the club.

'I really enjoyed playing for Rollers especially the times when I was in the first eleven. It’s always nice to play for a big team,' said Kupera, who joined Popa at the start of the season.

His move to Orapa is a one-and-a-half year loan deal.

Orapa United is ninth on the log with 18 points from 15 games.
