Speaking to Showbiz after the performance watched by millions of viewers across the continent, Nnunu said that the appearance was the beginning of great things in the year.

'I am confident that I am going to have a breakthrough in South Africa this year. The South Africans have already taken booking details from my management company, Streethorn,' she said.

Nnunu, who was accompanied by guitarist, Gomotsegang Rapoo and saxophonist, Andrew Chinganga performed two songs, Mmasonoko and Role La Tsie on the popular morning show.  Her performance was followed by a live interview both of which are available on YouTube. Nnunu also revealed that she is scheduled for an interview at the Setswana radio station, Motsweding fm.

She has already been talking to the station's Cebo Manyaapelo known for promoting Tswana music from this side of the border. On how she managed to hook up with the South Africans, Nnunu said that she has a host of people who follow her on Facebook and Twitter where she updates fans on what is happening in her life.

She believed that is how the South Africans discovered her. She also said that she has also received positive reviews from local media and she is rest assured that is what put her on the spotlight.

The artist highlighted that one of the things that must have attracted the South Africans to her is the fact that she has never been portrayed in a bad light by any media house and that she is always careful what she posts on social media.

'The South Africans asked me why it took me so long to showcase my talent to them because they were very impressed.  I told them that I had to wait for the right time. I had to have that punch when I performed in South Africa,' she said, adding that she is confident that bookings for major events in the neighbouring country will come soon.

Nnunu pointed out that she and other Batswana artists have the talent that could easily match that of celebrated South Africans such as Zahara and Lira.  She said that all they need is the right exposure.

She said that the South Africans have already started the process of registering her with the Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO).  She would be able to receive her royalties whenever her music is played in South Africa.
