Chub Heightz plugs Relentless

Chub Heightz said he felt the beginning of the year was an ideal time to push this particular single.

“It’s a very personal track that I wrote during a doubtful time in my life.  I wrote the song as a way of reminding my fans and I that no matter how tough life gets, we should remember that we are our biggest obstacles.  If you believe you can overcome, you shall overcome,” he told Showbiz.

He added that the message behind the tune was to encourage people to wake up every morning with the intention to be relentless in the pursuit of their dreams.

Chub Heightz has, over the last few years, established himself as a top rapper in the country and is convinced he will keep getting better.  His song 3rd Letter Music, at one time, reached the number one spot on the Yarona fm Mascom Top 20.

The hardworking artist said he was working towards the release of the video for the single, while also selling Relentless merchandise.

“The Relentless merchandise is for people to identify with the meaning of the song.  It’s a statement to people who see you wearing the merchandise that you’re the sort of person who doesn’t give up.

I want people to own this statement for this year and be relentless in chasing their dreams,” he explained.

The rapper said he has resolved to make relentless efforts to bring unfulfilled plans from 2013 to fruition this year.

Part of his plan includes a tour to some of the country’s towns.  He also has a new mixtape in the works.

He is part of Marked Men, a group of young entrepreneurs that share a common interest in the potential of the arts.

Marked Men Incorporated is the umbrella company that houses their entities, Marked Men Entertainment and Marked Men Clothing. Chub Heightz has previously picked his best moment as doing a track with Nigeria’s hip hop star Modenine.

He described him as a phenomenal emcee, adding that he was one of the reasons he started writing his own music.

His other career highlight was taking part in the ‘Hip Hop against AIDS, its drivers and other social ills’ campaign, an initiative of the US Embassy.
