Nare gives up on Moloi, Kaunda

BMC has been linked with the two players in recent days. Moloi was in the books of South African Premier League rookies Polokwane City, having been signed from defending league champions Mochudi Centre Chiefs at the beginning of the season.

However, the former top goalscorer in the league found the going tough at City, featuring less prominently before he was deemed unwanted last week.

The player has been linked with BMC since his recent release, but Nare said that Moloi seems destined for the big clubs.

Already there are reports that the player is set to re-join his former employers Chiefs with Gaborone United also monitoring his situation.

“I had interest in signing Mara after we failed to get Kaunda, but it seems like he is destined for the big clubs who are said to have promised him a better offer than what we were prepared to give him.

“As for Kaunda, his move to us was almost done but his club priced him out of our reach at the eleventh hour, at around P150 000, so the deal fell through. I have given up on signing any of the two players,” Nare said.

With BMC firing blanks as evidenced in the 1-1 draw with Miscellaneous in Palapye on Saturday, Nare said he had not given up signing a striker in the current transfer window.

“I am looking for a striker in the current CHAN competition in South Africa. Hopefully I will be able to get one there.

“But do not forget that I am competing with other clubs on the continent and other parts of the world who are also watching players at the competition with a view to signing them.

Meanwhile, Miscellaneous coach Otsile Koolese disclosed that he was content with his new acquisitions.

He was referring to attacking midfielder, Simbarashe Gorogodyo and forward Walter Nyakuchena who both hail from Zimbabwe. The players made their debuts over the weekend.

“They are still settling in but I am happy with their performance.

“I have no doubt that they will add great value to the team,” he said over the weekend.  On Saturday both players fitted in perfectly, not to struggling despite having begun training with the club less than two weeks ago.
