Possible BBA reunion for Oneza

This dream can come true if indications that this year’s housemates will be picked from Season 6 (Amplified) and Season 8 (The Chase) are true.

Every year the reality show picks a  theme which then becomes the criteria for choosing housemates.

Speculation is that this year’s edition will be dubbed All Stars 2, a concept that will focus on previous unsuccessful contestants and give them a second chance in the game.

On the official Facebook fan page for Big Brother Africa, the administrators have dropped hints that point to an Oneza (as the O’Neal and Feza love affair is termed) re-connection in the house.

“The house-mates for the season would be picked from season 6 Amplified - 8 The Chase,” read the post. Botswana’s representatives in the Amplified edition were the Maygillip sisters - Eve and Edith, while O’Neal was with Motamma Sesinyi last year.

But obviously, Africa would be keen on keeping an eye on O'Neal and Feza's relationship that was birthed during the last edition.

When Feza visited O’Neal in Gaborone late last year, the affair was talk of the town.

A love smitten O’Neal hinted his wish to marry the Tanzanian beauty.

Faultfinders labelled the romance as nothing, but a flitting infatuation that would soon die out.

But they have kept it together thus far and both relocated to South Africa. They will grace the cover of True Love Magazine next month.

The lovebirds joined the league of BBA-birthed relationships. Angola’s Tatiana hooked up with Tanzania’s Richard. Richard had entered the house a married man and the affair never materialised outside the house; something Tatiana later revealed crushed her.

Then there was Nigerian Kevin and another Tanzanian, Elizabeth, who got hitched early 2011, two years after meeting in the house during Season 4 of Big Brother Africa Revolution.

In season 5, yet another Tanzanian, Mwisho proposed marriage to Namibian Meryl live on continental television much to the dismay of conservative Africa.

They requested their families to be flown in to witness the engagement ceremony. Mwisho later said he would relocate to Namibia, which he did.

They later married and have two children. This year’s edition is scheduled to start on August 10 and will feature 28 participants from 14 different countries.

Participating countries are Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

MultiChoice Botswana publicity and public relations executive, Tshepo Maphanyane however insisted that, “There has not been any official word.'
