olling Boys started the second round of the Debswana First Division South on a high note by defeating Jwaneng Comets 3-2 in a match played yesterday at SSG Grounds. Comets were the first to find the back of the net through the foot of Boitshwaro Sehularo in the 15th minute.
It did not take long before Boys equalised through their new signing, Orapeleng Nkwe in the 22nd minute. Comets shot ahead again in the 48th minute after Bokang Digobe scored from a set piece just outside the box. Nkwe got his second in the 60th minute to cancel out Digobe's strike. Comets created many chances especially from the right flank but failed to covert. Rolling Boys midfield did not click as expected and that made it easy for Comets players to control the match. Jeresi Metsimabe's attempt went over the crossbar in the 37th minute. Benjamine Maute failed to increase Comets lead in the 57th minute as he shot high.
Rolling Boys' goalkeeper, Mmoloki Sedimo nearly cost his side dearly after he failed to hold on to a shot from Metsimabe. Omolemo Ramajbwe's attempt passed the goalmouth in the 85th minute as Rolling Boys put Comets to the sword. Olefile Lochinga who came in as a substitute got the winning goal in the 79th minute.
Rolling Boys' coach, Wire Kaelo gave credit to his team saying it won despite the absence of seven key players due to injuries. He hailed the replacements for proving themselves.
He said such a performance is good for competition in the squad. He said pulling a win against a team that is above them in the log is a motivation.
He stated that his team's performance was not up to scratch in the first round of the league. Kaelo said he used new signings who showed strength and qualities that he needs in his squad.
