Dinare Whitewash BMC

All players batted well with a massive home run coming from the enterprising Keleboge Bafenyi.
Dinare launched their runs blitz in the bottom one inning with an opener by Lobopo Otlhomilwe off a well-struck ball from Bonolo Molefe.
The second inning did not produce any runs and play seemed a bit balanced. BMC then struggled to bat again at the top of the third inning.
Dinare’s Kgomotso Koitsiwe scored the second run before Keleboge Bafenyi added another as they took full control of the game. Molefe, who had earlier created two runs for her teammates, added her own run after a Molosi Saanane effort. Saanane then scored an easy run that took the score to 5-0. At that point, Dinare seemed unrelenting while their bemused opponents could not get anything right. Their batting was pathetic and fielding equally terrible. Otlhomilwe gave Dinare a perfect start at the bottom of the fourth inning with a three-base hit that saw Molefe score a run. Saanane registered her name on the score sheet again, this time benefiting from a hit by Chedza Dikatholo. Dikatholo and Boitshepo Kgojane then scored successive runs to put the game beyond the visitors’ reach. Dikatholo’s run came after a base hit by Galeboe Mfolo. An error at shot stop saw Mfolo score another run before Thato Letshwiti added another with their opponents seemingly disheartened. Bafenyi’s home run put the icing on the cake as Dinare sealed the biggest win of the year.
In the men’s game, Dinare continued with their fine form, winning 8-6 over BMC. Last weekend, Dinare made a dramatic comeback when trailing 2-10 to UB. They scored 11 runs in the last inning to lead 13-10. The students then managed two runs but eventually lost 13-12. On Saturday, they allowed BMC three runs in the top one inning and looked like they would struggle to level scores. But when it was their turn to bat, they scored five with Keogotsitse Motsholapheko hitting a solo home run. Tumelo Kearabea hit another home run with their captain Bokamoso Diseko at second base.
Thato Thapedi made his debut for Dinare after joining them from Police IX. He made three base hits and two second base hits.
Diseko said he was happy with the performance of their new teammate. He said they aim at a top four place, hence the new acquisitions. “We managed to reinforce our team and I am happy it is turning out positively. Our aim is a top four place and we believe it is possible,” Diseko told Monitor Sport. In another league game on Saturday, BMC men managed to bounce back to beat Gideons 11-5 in a dull encounter.
