Benson, Tebogo Set For O'Hagans

The duo has had their fair share of the limelight in their crafts.  Mathiba released an album late last year called Motheo, which was well received in the market, especially the hit single Thari Ya Sechaba.

Phuthego is still riding on the success of his two albums.

Both will share a stage under the theme Season of Love.  The audience will appreciate both musicians credited for their unique sounds.

Speaking to Showtime, Phuthego said as artists with different sounds they both choose the date to kickstart what would be a long working relationship between them.

He explained that with him being a poet and Mathiba an Afro soul singer, their music is one that the audience always enjoys when performed live.

Phuthego further emphasised that as artists, performing live, people appreciate music worth their money.  It also depicts artists as people who take their craft very seriously and opens a lot of doors.

“We are looking into coming together often to such kind of events to resurrect the spirit of love, giving and togetherness not only on such events like Valentine’s”, said Phuthego.

Mathiba promised the audience nothing, but himself as an artist and also hopes for an interactive show.

He said the event is purely for people who would want to have an intimate affair with a touch of good soulful music.

Meanwhile, the two artists will give the first 20 couples to arrive at the show their free CD’s and also other goodies.

DJ Ricky Lamar and DJ MacJon are expected to keep the audience dancing throughout the night.
