Puna, Nono Launch Bomme

Before that Nono and DJ Sid are set to thrill diners at Caesar’s at the Valentine dinner dance complemented by a buffet, a complimentary glass of wine and roses for the women.

The women of jazz’s CD launch is scheduled to start at 4pm, and  will be a perfect opportunity for their followers to hear first-hand about the project.

Punah and Nono need no introduction. Their recent collaboration Bomme is already getting many excited.

The project seems to be doing very well as the first single to come out of the collaboration entitled Re Tsetswe Jalo has been well received.  The song is said to be a celebratory Afro jazz track.

The single is a dedication to their family members, fans, friends and the media for the support they have been giving them over the years.   The album is a sample of what their forthcoming albums plan to offer.

“Re Tsetswe Jalo highlights the pride musicians have in what they do and appreciates the support they have been getting from their fans over the years,” said Punah.

The collaboration also marks the beginning of good things to come.  The launch of Bomme project is the continued philanthropic work of the two women.  Among others, the album intends to give different women a platform to fully explore their talents, be it in the arts or any other profession, according to Punah.

Punah recorded her first album in 1999, while Nono followed some time later.  She sang with Punah for a while before going solo. The women explained that their latest project will not dent their chances as individual recording musicians in any way.  They are already working on separate projects.

“One of the reasons why we came together was because our fans have always requested for this kind of collaboration.  Since we are women who mostly sing about women’s issues we decided to collaborate,” said Punah.
