'The song is called Re Babedi and it is originally sang by her, but I decided to add a little twist to it and modernise. It looks like it is a people’s favourite,' he said.
He added that many Batswana adore the track because it is an old Setswana love song. He pointed out that Anafiki is a talented musician who inspires him to be the best he can be. His collaboration with her has been one of the best decisions he has ever made, he said.
Although the album is not in stores yet, Kast said the album is in high demand as people are ordering it through social media and email. “We run out of stock everyday as orders come from as far as Maun and Francistown,' he said.
Kast said the intention was to have the album in stores already, but because of unforeseen circumstances it has not been possible.
Kast had wanted the album in stores on February 1 because it was his birthday, but he faced a lot of challenges. As a result he had to push the date to later this month, he said.
The 15-track album has other hits like Duma Jale, Re Babedi and Sejabana 2 that are currently topping charts on radio.
Kast further mentioned that he has been busy with Kast fundraising events, but said he would soon be focusing on promoting the album. He also plans on touring the country for his fans to buy the album at the shows.
The rapper who recently got married told Showbiz that he is enjoying his marriage.
'I love my wife and son. They are very supportive of my career, but my greatest gratitude goes to my fans who have supported me since the day I first entered the music scene,” he said.
