The event, graced by the crème-de-la-crème of different sports organisations, attracted quite a large number of sports lovers.
The function was held last Thursday at Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC).
Although the décor was elegant, many attendees were disappointed as there was not enough seating inside.
The place that had the capacity to accommodate more than 300 guests disappointed the hundred or so that were seated outside. They missed out on the action inside the main room.
The theme of the night was formal with a touch of yellow, keeping a weather eye on the gests that were in their best.
Nominees were all dressed up as they awaited their respective awards.
Showtime spotted a few famous faces beautifully adorned in different designer gowns. Legendary photographer Zachariah Sethathiso and his wife were looking exquisite in the Xhosa inspired attire.
The two came dressed in matching outfits as they stuck to the theme of the night. Former Zebras coach Stan Tshosane also came dressed smartly in a brown suit. The man was all a happy face as he handed out the best coach award to Madinda Ndlovu who also looked dazzling in a suit.
Another well-dressed artist was MP Odirile Motlhale, also former Mascom PR manager, who did not disappoint in making a simple suite look classy. The BDF XI team; chose to rather keep to their traditional colours as they came dressed in green suits.
The new Zebras coach was also looking good in black and white.
The women who attended came looking all foxy and breathtaking in their little numbers making sure that they showed their toned legs. The colours that were most popular were red, yellow, white and black.
Sedibeng Choir grabbed the audience’s attention as they sang their famous songs.
Another marvelous performance was displayed by the Mascom dancers who showed a lot of dance moves that received a lot of cheering from the audience.
