Rollers have retained their position at the top of the log standings

With four matches remaining, the race for the title has become even more difficult to predict after BDF XI who have been breathing down heavily on the necks of Rollers were shocked by Extension Gunners on Saturday in Lobatse. Matebele have now dropped to position three, behind Chiefs and Rollers. Chiefs moved into position two with 53 points following their 4-2 thrashing of relegation candidates, TAFIC on Saturday.

The win means Chiefs are now a point behind leaders Rollers who played to a 1-1 draw against BMC on Saturday. Maano Ditshupo rescued a point for Rollers after Nqobile Mpala had given BMC the lead.

Chiefs, who had at one point faltered out of the title race have been on fire since the return of former coach, Mike SithHe is yet to lose a match since joining Magosi from Gunners. GU returned to winning ways, beating Police XI to revive their title ambitions.

Meanwhile Gunners’ victory over BDF XI has taken them to position nine on the log, three points behind Nico United in eighth. Nico beat Motlakase Power Dynamos to keep their dreams of finishing in the top eight alive. TAFIC are still languishing at the bottom of the table below Santos who lost 2-1 to Notwane. The win lifted Notwane to position 14. Miscellaneous are now living dangerously after their loss to Orapa United who have jumped to 10th spot.
