The 14-track album is a fusion of poetry laced with jazz, soul and reggae sounds.
On his album, the artist said that it has been a work in progress since 2008.
He said that although there are some poems with backing vocals, a majority of the works there are poems hence the name Poetic Meditations.
Through his album Dredd X said that he did not just make poetry, but explored a wide range of themes that include love, gender and politics among others.
Furthermore he expressed that he wishes his potential audience could bask in the album and pay more attention to the words as they have a message to communicate.
Dredd X also said that he added music to his poems to enhance the mood and to just give the album some vibe.
He said: “My album can be suitably termed as an audiobook of poetry.”
As a poet, the young man said that he chose to go with poetry because it is something that he is familiar with.
Also it is close to his heart but at the same time being of poet is a line of work that he is good at.
